As part of its participation, Community Jameel organized a panel discussion within the forum, hosted by the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at MIT, under the title “The Role of Evidence in Measuring the Impact of Humanitarian Work.” The session highlighted J-PAL’s pioneering research in creating evidence-based policies, designing data-driven solutions, and their role in addressing urgent global humanitarian challenges.
In this context, Dr. Ibrahim Badawood, the Secretary General of Community Jameel Saudi and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, stated: “The participation of Community Jameel Saudi and Community Jameel in the 4th Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum stems from our pioneering role in humanitarian efforts both in Saudi Arabia and globally. Dr. Ahmed Elsayed, Executive Director of J-PAL Middle East and North Africa, commented: “Our work focuses on tackling global challenges such as youth unemployment, gender inequality, and access to education, among others. We were pleased to share our experiences and insights on developing and scaling evidence-based development programs with the forum’s international audience in Riyadh. We hope our contribution will enhance collaboration and innovation in the humanitarian sector.”
The forum also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Community Jameel Saudi and KSrelief, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two organizations. The partnership seeks to launch joint developmental initiatives in the future, which will serve the most vulnerable communities worldwide through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
