Community Jameel Foundation Showcases Its Achievements for 2024 in Its Annual Report

In its recently released annual report for 2024, Community Jameel Saudi Foundation highlighted the initiatives and programs it has implemented within its areas of development, which include providing job and income opportunities, empowering entrepreneurs, empowering women, and humanitarian initiatives. This comes as part of the organization’s commitment to contributing to the economic, social, environmental, and technological development of Saudi Arabia, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
During 2024, the foundation launched numerous programs and initiatives in collaboration with the government, private, and nonprofit sectors through its affiliated developmental organizations, including Bab Rizq Jameel, Nafisa Shams Company and Academy, the StartSmart Competition, and Abdul Latif Jameel Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation. The report also highlighted the impact of the programs and services provided, with the number of beneficiaries from the organization’s initiatives exceeding 173,633 in 2024 alone, bringing the total number of beneficiaries since the establishment of Community Jameel Foundation to more than 1,070,206 across the Kingdom.
Commenting on this, Dr. May Taibah, a board member of the Community Jameel Saudi Foundation, stated: “The year 2024 witnessed the launch of numerous initiatives and programs that contributed to achieving many accomplishments in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the organization’s objectives, translating its strategy aimed at achieving prosperity and economic empowerment. We reaffirm our commitment to continuing this developmental approach and continuous improvement and enhancement throughout 2025, ensuring that our initiatives remain aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 in creating impact and driving progress towards a better future for all.”
Within the area of providing jobs and income opportunities, Bab Rizq Jameel launched the second and third editions of the Virtual Job Fair in 2024, which leveraged virtual reality technology to enhance communication between employers and job seekers, benefiting tens of thousands of participants. The organization also continued to roll out new cohorts of its training ending with employment program in the coffee sector and introduced a similar program in the bakery sector, in collaboration with employment and training partners across the Kingdom.
Within the area of entrepreneurs advancement in 2024, the Community Jameel Saudi Foundation organized the eighth edition of the StartSmart Competition for Entrepreneurship, aimed at supporting and training Saudi entrepreneurs and increasing the number of small and medium enterprises. The competition finalists underwent an intensive training program and received high-level mentorship and guidance before the competition concluded with nine winners, who received a total of SAR 360,000 in prizes. The competition’s activities saw the participation of 4,114 beneficiaries. Additionally, the organization held a series of StartSmart Meetups, offering interactive and inspiring discussion sessions throughout the year, benefiting 598 participants, thereby enhancing knowledge exchange and expertise sharing in a stimulating entrepreneurial environment.
Within the area of women’s empowerment, Nafisa Shams Company launched the Handicraft Experiences Series in 2024, which consists of monthly sessions aimed at developing the skills of Saudi women through hands-on workshops covering various fields, such as embroidery, Arabic calligraphy, and floral design. These sessions hosted more than 350 participants in Jeddah and garnered significant online engagement. To further expand accessibility, the company launched the Virtual Handicraft Series, which targeted empowering women in the arts and crafts sector. More than 1,084 beneficiaries participated online, acquiring practical skills, business knowledge, and inspiration to turn their creative passion into successful business ventures, thereby contributing to sustainability in the sector and supporting Saudi cultural identity.
Regarding the humanitarian initiatives area, the Hemam Jameel Program, in collaboration with Bab Rizq Jameel, launched an employment initiative for persons with disabilities, aimed at empowering them through training, vocational rehabilitation, and providing job opportunities in key sectors. This initiative seeks to enhance social inclusion and break stereotypes about disability, contributing to building a more inclusive society. Additionally, in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the organization launched the Tanweer Jameel 2024 Program, which celebrated the achievements of outstanding orphans by organizing educational and recreational summer trips to Turkey and Thailand. The program benefited 40 high-achieving orphans, providing them with opportunities for learning and personal development in new environments.
In December, Abdul Latif Jameel Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation celebrated its 30th anniversary, continuing its legacy as the first private-sector medical rehabilitation facility in Saudi Arabia. Since its establishment, the hospital has provided services to over 175,000 patients. Additionally, in recognition of its significant contributions at local and regional levels, the Community Jameel Saudi Foundation was honored with two prestigious awards in 2024: the Gulf Sustainability Award and the Arab Social Responsibility and Sustainability Award.
