Bab Rizq Jameel Trains 10 New Cohorts in “Training Ending with Employment in the Coffee Sector Programme”
- Competency Development
Bab Rizq Jameel, a subsidiary of Community Jameel Saudi Foundation, has successfully completed the training of 10 new cohorts in the “Training Ending with Employment in the Coffee Sector Programme” across various regions of Saudi Arabia. This programme is aligned with the company’s mission of empowering individuals, providing job opportunities, and helping them to achieve their professional goals. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and connect them with job opportunities in the local market, contributing to economic empowerment and growth of promising sectors, such as the coffee industry.
The “Training Ending with Employment Programmeme” is aligned with the Kingdom Vision 2030’s objectives and Vision Realization Programmemes, including the Human Capability Development Program, the National Transformation Program, and the Quality of Life Program. This alignment is illustrated by its contribution to improving the readiness of youths to enter the labor market, reducing the unemployment rate to 7%, celebrating the traditional Saudi coffee, and enhancing the growth and global competitiveness of the Kingdom’s coffee industry.
Since its inception, 179 trainees participated in the programme from seven cities across Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Jeddah, and Yanbu. The training covered basic skills to operate in the coffee sector, including coffee preparation methods, types of coffee, roasting techniques, customer service, green coffee cultivation and processing; as well as courses on administrative, operational and marketing skills. Upon completion of the training, participants received an accredited certificate from the Arabian Coffee Institute. In addition, the graduates were provided with job opportunities through recruitment partners. The graduates’ performance as employees is monitored through a follow-up programme for three months after graduation to ensure quality and social impact. The recruitment partners for these 10 cohorts are Derby International Coffee Company Limited, Moco International Company, Castello Coffee Company, Nesco Trading Corporation Company, and Sabq AL Aimtiaz EST.
On this occasion, Dr. May Taibah, Director of Bab Rizq Jameel and Member of the Board of Trustees at Community Jameel Saudi, said: “The success of “the Training Ending with Employment Programme in the coffee sector” is a successful example of balancing supply and demand for skills in the labor market. The programme achieved great success in its first year due to the complementary integration of three elements of success: attracting passionate youths about the coffee sector, providing distinguished and high caliber training, and providing job opportunities through our recruitment partners. This comprehensive approach prompted us to increase the number of beneficiaries, as we expanded to include seven cities throughout the Kingdom. We also worked to develop the programme content to include developing skills in marketing, supervising branches, and performing administrative and executive tasks to qualify trainees for higher positions on the career ladder.”
As part of its mission to empower Saudi youth and facilitate their entry into the workforce, Bab Rizq Jameel collaborated with the Arabian Coffee Institute to offer the Training Ending with Employment in the Coffee Sector Programme, which was made possible through Community Jameel Saudi support. This programmeme is one of several initiatives held by Bab Rizq Jameel to empower youth to enter the labor market.
