Community Jameel Foundation and Monsha'at Launch the "Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores" Initiative - 1

In a transformative step toward empowering businesses across the Kingdom, the Community Jameel Foundation, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), and the Twsa’a platform for e-commerce are pleased to announce the launch of the “Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores” initiative. This initiative is designed specifically to help traditional brick-and-mortar businesses transition into the fast-growing e-commerce sector, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed and thrive in the digital era.

The “Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores” initiative targets traditional business owners, retail sector freelancers, and entrepreneurs looking to expand their operations beyond physical storefronts. The initiative, which focuses particularly on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which promotes economic diversification, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.

The significance of this initiative lies in its ability to help businesses that rely on physical stores overcome challenges in a rapidly evolving digital world and maintain their competitive edge. The “Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores” initiative offers a unique solution by seamlessly integrating businesses into the digital economy, opening up new revenue streams, enhancing visibility, and expanding their customer base. This initiative also eliminates many of the traditional barriers associated with e-commerce, providing a clear path for businesses to embrace the future.

Beneficiaries of the “Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores” initiative will have access to a comprehensive range of services, including an integrated platform offering e-commerce solutions to establish their digital presence. These solutions include secure payment gateways to ensure smooth transactions, reliable shipping solutions to efficiently meet customer demands, and marketing and inventory management tools to streamline operations and improve business performance. Additionally, the initiative offers training programs and workshops to equip participants with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital market.

In this regard, Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, Senior General Manager of Entrepreneurship & Social Initiatives at Community Jameel Foundation, stated: “The Developing Traditional Stores to E-stores initiative will reduce the barriers to entering e-commerce by providing all the necessary resources and support, empowering businesses to attract more customers both locally and globally. This will allow them to focus on sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.”

It is worth noting that registration for the initiative will open on 28/1/2025, and we encourage all eligible businesses to take advantage of this opportunity and join the initiative to elevate their trade and businesses to new horizons in the digital age through this link.
