Tanweer Jameel Program 2024 is Launched to Celebrate Outstanding Orphans
- Humanitarian Initiatives
In collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Community Jameel Saudi has launched the 2024 edition of the “Tanweer Jameel” program. The program includes organizing two international educational and recreational trips in July, to honor and encourage exceptional orphaned students who have demonstrated remarkable talent, commitment, and outstanding performance throughout the academic year. The 2 trips will include 40 students, aged 13 to 18, from all social care houses in the Kingdom. This year, Turkey has been chosen as the destination for the boys and Thailand for the girls.
The trips’ agendas cover the most important cultural, educational, recreational, and technological landmarks. Students will spend three days in Jeddah training on soft and professional skills, followed by a 10-day trip to explore different cultures, develop their physical and intellectual capabilities, and sharpen their skills. The Tanweer Jameel Program aims to encourage them to maintain high academic standards.
On this occasion, Ebtihal Alsawi, General Manager of Orphan Care and Empowerment at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, has praised the efforts of Community Jameel Saudi Foundation, saying: “We are delighted with the continuation of this long-standing partnership with Community Jameel Saudi and the creative ideas that distinguish each trip from its predecessors, whether in choosing destinations or the accessory educational and cultural programs.” She added: “More than 420 students have benefited from the Tanweer Jameel program since its inception, playing a significant role in motivating and encouraging orphans to excel academically and gain valuable experiences through these trips.”
Dr. May Taibah, a member of the Board of Trustees of Community Jameel Saudi, said: “At Community Jameel Saudi, we take pride in the support we provide to the nation’s youth through the ‘Tanweer Jameel’ program. Through this program, we aim to enrich the cultural and intellectual minds of orphaned students, giving them the opportunity to learn about the cultures and civilizations of other countries. This helps broaden their horizons and stimulates their ability to communicate knowledgeably and build leadership qualities. We are confident that these trips will significantly enhance the perseverance and diligence of these students, motivating them to achieve more accomplishments in their professional and personal lives, in line with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030.”
It is noteworthy that the Tanweer Jameel program, which started in 2005, has visited several international destinations in its previous trips, such as France, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and others. This program reflects Community Jameel Saudi’s commitment to motivating academically outstanding orphans, providing guidance and mentorship, and contributing to building a promising future for them and their communities.
